As in the art of kintsugi, we believe that cracks do not diminish value — they can become golden lines of strength.

KINTSUGI Pilot helps communities that have experienced loss to find new ways to grow, heal, and support others.

Events Calendar

  • Project

  • "Cracks do not diminish our worth. They reveal where we have been and how we have grown."
    KINTSUGI Pilot

    — is a pilot programme that helps communities affected by war learn to heal through peer support, education, and psychosocial resilience. Inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, the project demonstrates that what is broken can be restored — and even become more beautiful.

KINTSUGI Pilot creates spaces where people who have experienced loss, forced displacement, or professional burnout can learn to share their experiences, support others, and build caring communities.

  • Core idea:

  • Strengthening the psychosocial resilience of communities
    Training peer support leaders
Preparing specialists to work with trauma using modern methodologies
Developing a Toolkit — a practical guide for trainers and communities

“We believe that what’s broken can become strong again — as long as you have people who see your worth”

The project is being implemented by the Charitable Foundation "Tree of My Life" in partnership with the organizations POPI (Slovakia) and Moving Self Institute (Czech Republic) with the support of the Visegrad Fund.

The project is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through grants from the Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to support sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
